The short version. Your wallpapers, your files and your file names never leave your Mac. The app sends anonymous usage analytics that identify an install, not a person, and you can turn them off at any time in Settings. If you buy Dragon Pro or leave a tip, Apple handles the payment and we keep a record of the transaction — never your payment details.
DragonLiveWallpaper is a macOS app published by Liveratti (Abraham Rubio), Mexico. You can reach us at contact@liveratti.com.
The app works on your files locally. None of the following is ever transmitted, to us or to anyone else:
Media you add is copied into the app's own Application Support folder so your wallpaper survives a reboot. That copy stays on your Mac and is deleted when you remove the item from the library or delete the app.
To understand which features are used and whether they work, the app sends anonymous product-usage events to our analytics processor, Amplitude, Inc. (United States). This is on by default. You can turn it off at any time in Settings › Advanced › Share anonymous usage data; turning it off stops all collection immediately. If you said “No thanks” when an earlier version asked, it stays off.
What is sent:
| What is sent | Examples |
|---|---|
| Which features you use and whether they worked | a wallpaper was applied; a file was rejected as too large; playback failed with an error code |
| Counts and settings, never content | how many items are in your library, how many displays are connected, scale mode, whether desktop icons are hidden |
| Purchase funnel steps | the paywall was shown, a purchase started, completed or was cancelled, with the product identifier, price and currency |
| App and system version | app version, macOS version, language |
| An identifier for the install | a random identifier generated on your Mac, stored only on your Mac |
What is deliberately not sent: your IP address, any location or region derived from it, your
carrier, your email, your Apple Account, your Mac’s name, any advertising identifier, and any free-form
text. Error reports are
fixed enum codes such as memory_budget, never file names or messages. These fields are switched off
in the Amplitude SDK itself, not merely unused.
The identifier is not an account. It exists so that two events from the same install are counted as one install rather than two.
Dragon Pro and the optional tips are in-app purchases sold through the Mac App Store. Apple processes the payment; we never see or receive your card, bank or billing details.
To validate the receipt and keep an accurate record of sales and refunds, the purchase transaction is also sent to our purchase infrastructure provider, RevenueCat, Inc. (United States). What it receives is the transaction itself — product identifier, price, currency, storefront country, purchase and refund dates, app version and platform — tied to the same random install identifier described above.
So that purchases made on another Mac or before an update are recognised, the app also lets RevenueCat know when it starts, with the same random install identifier, the app version, the macOS version and the storefront country. This applies whether or not analytics are on: it is part of handling purchases, not product-usage tracking. If you never buy anything, RevenueCat receives no purchase from you.
The upgrade screen shows the app's current App Store rating. To fetch it, the app asks Apple's public iTunes lookup endpoint for this app's identifier in your storefront's country. No identifier of yours is included.
Analytics events are retained by Amplitude for as long as the project keeps them and are aggregated for product decisions. Purchase records are retained by RevenueCat for as long as we need them for accounting, tax and refund handling.
Turning off Share anonymous usage data stops all further analytics collection. The identifier is random and tied to no account, so we have no way to connect stored data back to you. If you want the data for an install deleted, write to contact@liveratti.com and we will help you locate its identifier and remove it.
DragonLiveWallpaper is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected in the effective date above, and, where the change affects what is collected, in the app itself.
